Ha ha this-a-way, ha ha that-a-way....
My oh my! This thing is big!
We now have a cone. Picture story below. Can't be bothered to write. Are we checking luggage?
Thanks to my assistant Debbie McGee (Claire).
No more updates tonight. Mrs H (Senior) is coming over tomorrow night to help me make the yellow cover, features and shoulder supports.

Sizing Wizbit
According to the theme tune Wizbit is 8 ft high. From some pictures of Wizbit I decided the top angle is 35 degrees.
Taking this into account and knowing that the bottom of Wizbit needs to come down to Fatty's knees and has to fit his shoulders width I came up with the following plan:
This is the final size of wizbit.
Thanks to Claire's Dad for the help
I downloaded a cone planning software and put in the dimensions to get a template for the foam.
This led to a final foam size of 2.3m x 1.8m. Unfortunately the yellow foam is not available this large so I had to order the blue.

What shall we make wizbit from?
Originally I thought of building a wire frame and wrapping yellow material around however this wouldn't have travelled well. We needed a material that would hold its shape when worn but be flexible enough to pack for the stag do. I sent for a load of foam samples and here's what I got.
This yellow foam was ideal (and the right colour).

Who is Wizbit?
Wizbit?!?!?
This was the Paul Daniels-Debbie McGee abomination (and, to be fair, there has been more than one), centred around an alien magician in the world of Puzzleopolis. Characters included Squidy Bog, Professor Doom and Wozbit.
